|  |  | | One Month to go ! | The final countdown has started. In less than one month teenager from 53 European nations will come to Trogen (Switzerland), Steinach (Austria) and Vaduz (Liechtenstein) to take part in the EUROSCHOOLS YOUTH CAMP 2008.
From Paris till Moscow, from Athens over Reykjavik untill Tirana: all over Europe the enthusiasm rises. Students and teachers are equally inspired.
„We can hardly wait untill it starts. We have been preparing ourselves for weeks. We play football and practice English!“ says a student of the Turkish delegation. And Miss Kospenda, teacher of the Slovenian delegation points out how special and important the camp will be for her delegation: „We are a small school from the countryside and have never participated in an international project. It will be an exciting experience!“.

Stay tuned ! | Good news for the participants and friends of the EUROSCHOOLS YOUTH CAMP 2008: the events of the two camps in Switzerland and Austria as well as the complete tournament in Liechtenstein will be broadcasted worldwide through internet radio and via VHF on 104.1 MHz in Liechtenstein!
Under www.powerup.ch friends, parents and fans can witness the excitement of the students in Liechtenstein first hand. Interviews, student reports, chart hits from the 53 UEFA nations or live commentary of the tournament - Europe will be up to date.

|  |  | | You’ve got mail ! | During the official kick-off ceremony in Innsbruck 53 EURO-pupils sent greeting cards into the sky of Innsbruck. The lucky finders were invited to send these cards back with a message for all YOUTH CAMP participants.
Since then many postcards from all over Europe arrived at our office. For example a finder from Italy wrote „Have a lot of fun during the camp. Many greetings from San Pietro at Natisone“. Markus from Telfs in Austria says „Warm regards from Tirol. “ And Lissi writes enthusiastically : „I was very happy to find your card during a hiking trip in Austria! Hi to all friends of football and sport! I wish you a lot of fun at the camp. Enjoy it! Happy greetings and all the best!“.

|  |  | | After the missed EURO-Qualification the Englishmen can sigh in relief. A group of students from the city of Hull has been chosen to represent England in our European fair play football tournament! Two girls and two boys from Endeavour High school will take part in workshops and football tournaments in Switzerland and Liechtenstein and come together with children from each of the 53 UEFA-represented countries from September 14 to 21.
Head teacher Chris Straker said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for our pupils to meet other children from around Europe and build their understanding of other cultures.”
Student Jakob was delighted: “It’s going to be a once-in-a-lifetime trip and I’m looking forward to meeting people from other countries”.

|  |  | | After one year of intensive preparations, pupils from Austria, Liechtenstein and Switzerland qualified at seven EUROSCHOOLS CUPS for the grand final in Innsbruck. After two thrilling days and over 200 matches of fair play football the European Champion Latvia was crowned amid loud applause from the crowd.
But this was not the conclusion of EUROSCHOOLS 2008. After the award ceremony things got even more exciting. The official kick off for the EUROSCHOOLS YOUTH CAMP 2008 started: 53 Pupils, one representing each UEFA-Nation, sent greeting cards into the sky of Innsbruck. The lucky finders were invited to celebrate the spirit of intercultural exchange and asked to send them back with greetings to the participants of the camp.
The EUROSCHOOLS YOUTH CAMP 2008 Team was very happy to find a greeting card from Slovenia in the mail box only one week later! Tom Kastelic from the city of Smartno Pri Litiji wrote: “Kind regards and all the best from Slovenia!” He set a mark.
